I have merged the history from Patrick Murray (politician) into this article. Technically creating this article at this title was inappropriate and bypasses the AfD result from 2012. However given the passage of time and the existence of recent coverage of the subject, I have decided not to enforce that consensus at this time. (However someone else may decide to take it to AfD.) Question: is this the best title for the article or was Patrick Murray (politician) a better choice? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:08, 9 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I created this article (the most recent iteration) but I hadn't realized that an article for this person had previously existed but been deleted. Sorry about that. I chose the article title Jay Patrick Murray because of this. It seems to be the name he formally/officially goes by. But I'm fine with a move if that makes more sense. I think an AfD for this article is unwarranted, as there is plenty of major coverage of him now, and he is on the verge of being confirmed to a notable State Department position. I don't particularly care which title to choose for this article. --1990'sguy (talk) 21:15, 9 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
