Preferred frame (last paragraph)

[edit]

The last paragraph makes wild assertions about this. The expression "preferred frame" appears only twice in the reference given, Principles of Physical Cosmology, without Peeble elaborating on it at all. Here are excerpt:

«The conclusion is that the moving observer sees in any direction a thermal blackbody spectrum but with a temperature that is a function of the angle θ' between the direction of observation and the direction of motion relative to the preferred frame in which the radiation is isotropic» (p. 157)

«The motion of the Local Group relative to the preferred frame defined by the CBR is ~ 600 km/s» (p. 85)

This is plainly trivial: I don't see why the article makes such a fuss about it.

The paragraph then doubles down with a comment allegedly from Einstein, with the mumbo-jumbo « kinetic energy should be developed as a field concept». What does this even mean? What is the exact reference in the cited reference by Einstein? Luc-j-bourhis (talk) 11:58, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
