Titles should not be included in article names per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (biographies)#Honorific prefixes --Nate1481( t/c) 07:51, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

João Grande is a nickname, not a title, and per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (biographies)#Pseudonyms.2C_stage_names_and_common_names, it seems appropriate as it is his public name (if this is an old comment re. the word Mastre in his name, it's been moved). His real name should be mentioned, but I can't seem to find a reference to it anywhere. Anyone... Focomoso (talk) 07:20, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The original material for this page is largely taken from material available at http://www.joaogrande.org/. This copy will probably be replaced with one that is purely for wikipedia in the near future, once the preferences of the copyright holder are known (he's traveling right now). Since this was not written as a Wikipedia article, the style remains truer to the original than to Wikipedia style standards.
