Grammar error

Regarding the following sentence in the section on McCain’s funeral:

“Prior to his death, McCain requested that former presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama deliver eulogies at his funeral, and asked that both President Donald Trump and former Alaska Governor and 2008 vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin not to attend any of the services.”

If you were to replace “both President Donald Trump and former Alaska Governor and 2008 vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin” with “they” the second part of this sentence would read “and asked that they not to attend any of the services,” which obviously is incorrect.

Either the world “that” after “asked” or the world “to” before “attend” should be removed to amend this.

I trust that someone with edit access to this article will see that this is fixed. 2600:6C64:687F:F7AE:794E:1DEC:73F6:5FEE (talk) 00:33, 23 January 2023 (UTC)

Some issues

As of now, the end of the Awards and honors section of this article reads more like a list than prose (basically WP:Proseline). I am not entirely sure how to reformat so I will not edit it myself, though I think it should be changed. Also in that section, I noticed a mention of him being banned from Russia. I removed it because it does not belong in a section about awards and honours, though I am not sure where exactly in the article it should be put. There are a couple of overlong quotes which I have tagged at the end of the political positions section, not sure what to do with those either. ~UN6892 tc 03:45, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
