Notability[edit]

Removed wikify tag as not applicable. While I'm here - is this band notable? Seems the only criteria on WP:MUSIC it has a shot as is #5, but one of the labels isn't notable at all. --Sesameball 10:11, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jonathan Sharp page?[edit]

I'm conflicted about whether this page ought to be an artist page for Jonathan Sharp with redirects targeted from New Mind and Bio-Tek. It's kind of written that way. -- t_kiehne (talk) 01:13, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

New Mind (band)Jonathan Sharp (musician) – New Mind is one of the solo projects of Jonathan Sharp and while the actual Jonathan Sharp (musician) page redirects to New Mind, it would seem to be backwards. Moving the current New Mind page to be the Jonathan Sharp page will expand the article potential to include subsequent work of his (including his production work with Universal, Warner, BMG, et al. as well as newer projects such as The Heartwood Institute www.timesandstar.co.uk/news/17021039.debut-live-appearance-for-1970s-inspired-recording-project/) and to expand on his collaborations (e.g. Hexedene, Cyber-Tec Project, Hyperdex-1 Sect, Barking at Butterflies.) I'm not sure if this involves a technical move due to the existence of the target page. In light of the recent deletion discussion this would seem to be a good compromise. -- t_kiehne (talk) 06:21, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support - I agree with this proposal. Switching the redirects between Jonathan Sharp and New Mind is called a "round robin move" which can be done by some approved editors; I can help with that if need be. Since this idea has been tied in with a whole bunch of deletion nominations, we will have to wait for those to conclude. An article on Mr. Sharp can include brief mentions of New Mind, Black Rain, etc. in his history of projects. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 17:36, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Library Music[edit]

There is some circumstantial evidence that Jonathan's works-for-hire have been used in high-profile media productions, but it is bloody difficult to get anything authoritative out of the web about this. All I've got right now are his LinkedIn profile, Soundcloud, and a listing for his own publishing company. These aren't strong references so it would be great if someone could dig something authoritative up. -- t_kiehne (talk) 04:41, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
