It reads like an adverstisment
[edit]This article reads like a gigantic adverstisment.
It needs to be rewritten objectively or deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rwickham (talk • contribs) 12:31, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
- Yes this does read like a promotional article. Directions for revision could come from the Mcdonald's, Burger King, and other restaurant articles. One thing that jumps out from those articles are the controversies and complaints. Archivingcontext (talk) 01:21, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
hello you people this is mot a good websit pick a different one now.

[edit]per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/JUST EAT India, I have performed a merge to this article and redirected JUST EAT India to this page… L.tak (talk) 18:43, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
"Just-Eat" or "Just Eat"?
[edit]The current title is "Just-Eat", but the body of the article uses "Just Eat". What should it be? --Mortense (talk) 11:14, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
Removed section
[edit]I removed a section because it has several issues:
far too detailed info on how it works, almost written as though it's selling it to prospective clients.
unreferenced info on fees e.g. £11 + VAT = £17.80. £6.80 on £11 is over 60% and clearly not a valid figure.Rayman60 (talk) 14:44, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
Request to Update
[edit]Hi,
I work at JUST EAT and noticed that there are a few factual innacuries in this piece. I was hoping I could change them but did want to check before doing so? Absolutely respect that the page is not a pmrotional tool. Am only interested in changing what is factually innacurate.
I would like to make the following changes to the article and wanted to ensure all were happy for me to do before editing?
- Change the second paragraph to read as follows, updating resturant numbers:
"As of August 2014, Just Eat has over 40,800 participating restaurants, with over 22,500 in the UK.[2] JUST EAT was recently ranked in the Deloitte 2013 Technology Fast 500 EMEA and is recognised as one of the 500 fastest-growing technology companies across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA)."
- in the "HIstory" section, I would like the add the following sentence underneath the sentence that reads "As of February 2013, Klaus Nyengaard stepped down from his role as group CEO.[8]"
"On 30th May 2013, Just Eat confirmed the appointment of David Buttress as CEO of the JUST EAT Group."
- In "Brand" section, add the following para at the end:
"In September 2014, Just Eat undertook another refresh of their brand positioning, launching its “mini fist pump” campaign, which looks to celebrate the small victories in life. The new brand direction was launched on 18th September with the premiere of a new TV campaign, which was part of a £5 million campaign spend."
- Add the following paragraph to the sponsorship section:
"In January 2014, it was announced that Just Eat would sponsor the new series of Take Me Out, the prime time dating show broadcast on ITV’s flagship channel. The deal, negotiated by Havas Media on behalf of JUST EAT, included a sponsorship package across broadcast, online and mobile platforms."
PLease let me know if these changes are OK. If no one disagrees, I will mkae the chnages this time next week.

what is this article about?
[edit]Is this article about the former company, or about the brand? The topic now seems to be a combination which suggests that all the JustEatTakeaway countries where JustEatTakeaway operates under the "JustEat" brand name are somehow organisationally a separate unit. That is not the case. L.tak (talk) 10:11, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @L.tak, it is about both, "Just Eat" (taking the title literally) can refer to either. It was a company that was bought with its name retained for branding, but I agree it is not a separate unit, being absorbed by Takeaway.com (renamed to Just Eat Takeaway.com). I added the brand stuff largely because until my June 2022 edit, the article continued to describe Just Eat as a separate company (subsidiary) in operation, which I believe was incorrect, and as JET stated it as a brand as it is operated in multiple countries, therefore I added that term in. (Although if another 2022 source says otherwise be free to correct). Some post-2020 events were added by others mainly relating to Just Eat UK (a branch), which is not exactly relevant for the article if referring to Just Eat plc, so if you believe the article should be about one or the other (former company or brand), then I would support the article becoming only about the former company, with it changed to past tense, company infobox and past logo restored etc, as most of the article is about that, although potentially as Just Eat plc rather than the current title. With post-2020 events (i.e. Katy Perry) moved and the article title potentially redirected to Just Eat Takeaway.com. Although I believe greater clarity for the current article is all that is needed, if you believe they should be separated then I would not personally oppose, but may need more discussion with other editors. Many Thanks DankJae 11:02, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
- Well, I would say it is either about the brand, or it is about the former company. Now it is about two things which happen to have the same name. I see also many other users try to add things and thus also don't see the exact scope. My suggestion would be to keep it here to the former company; and organize the brand (it really is just that; the IT, organization etc is centralized) with the parent company... L.tak (talk) 11:40, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
- Not sure if a large discussion is needed for a small split concerning recent-ish edits, I could perform it if no opposition is raised here. If such a thing were to happen would renaming the article Just Eat plc be suitable? I believe it would. DankJae 12:35, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
