Great source for Kalwar Kshatryia/Sanskritisation/caste organizations

[edit]

Check this source for the above: http://books.google.com/books?id=x104AAAAIAAJ&pg=PA64&dq=kalwar+liquor&hl=en&sa=X&ei=BfdpT-ipLMeq0AHGr82VCQ&ved=0CFAQ6AEwBA#v=onepage&q=kalwar%20liquor&f=false . - MatthewVanitas (talk) 15:51, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And another source, particularly on the attempts to rename the caste: http://books.google.com/books?id=T6gnJmoLRZQC&pg=PA59&dq=Jaiswal+Brahmin&hl=en&sa=X&ei=JBtqT62ZCeXg0QG6naDwCA&ved=0CEYQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=Jaiswal%20Brahmin&f=false . - MatthewVanitas (talk) 18:18, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with Jain Kalar

[edit]

The Jain Kalar article actually contains nothing that isn't already in the Kalwar version, except for unsourced pov statements that I think come from Raj books. If Jain Kalar/Kalwars do exist, we can simply merge the two articles and have a sourced statement that some follow Hinduism and others are Jains. Sitush (talk) 06:50, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
