Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because <Sir Kedarnath Das is regarded as an important figure and is widely cited by peers or successors, he is known for originating a significant new obstetric technique. He has made a widely recognized contribution in obstetrics that is part of the enduring historical record in his specific field>. — Bodhisattwa Mandal 18:53, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
