Discussion of reverts

[edit]

@IanDBeacon: Please discuss your reasoning for reverting the IPs edits. Also, make sure to try and be respectful when reverting next time (obviously the IP was way more disrespectful but telling the user to "go away" is still disrespectful). The IPs edits seemed perfectly fine as they were reference appropriately. Also, next time, if you revert the IPs edit and they revert it back, instead of reverting again, start a discussion on the talk page so it doesn't turn into an edit war. Upon further inspection it appears you were reverting the edits because the user is a suspected sock of another user. However, you didn't necessarily provide any evidence of the IP being a sock (i.e a link to an investigation at WP:SPI). While I"m not saying you were completely in the wrong, I would still like an explanation as to what went on before this with the user wh you are claiming the IP is a sock of. The user is a sock puppet of Nate Speed, see also WP:LTA/NS if you want an explanation of what’s happening. IanDBeacon (talk) 19:47, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ah that helps explain things. Thanks for providing me with some context! Seems like a case of people who think they're right and everyone else is wrong no matter what. Regardless, even though they hurl expletive (i think that's the right word and spelling) comments at you, you should still try and remain calm and be as nice as you can. I will make sure to look out for them while browsing Reddit so that we can keep the internet as sane as possible. Blaze The Wolf | Proud Furry and Wikipedia Editor (talk) 19:54, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Blaze The Wolf: he’s on fandom.com too. IanDBeacon (talk) 19:56, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I would look out for him on Fandom as well but I'm banned on Fandom for reasons I would prefer not to discuss. I'm hoping they'll let me come back on a completely new account as sort of a fresh start but most likely not. Source is required first. Plus I’m starting to suspect that this is likely Nate Speed evading his ban. --IanDBeacon (talk) 17:25, 15 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there, it is founded by the same person as Lacewood. [1] -184.146.37.152 (talk) 02:51, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
So what? It may have been founded by the same person, but this is an article about the studio, not the founder. Lacewood is not Amberwood. If Amberwood is notable then write an article about it. Meters (talk) 03:00, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
All we have is an unsourced claim that most of the assets of Lacewood were obtained by Amberwood, but even the source above (1998) does not mention this. Meters (talk) 03:09, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
