There has apparently been long-term massive deletion and content removals made by User:HiChrisBoyleHere on Laksmi De-Neefe Suardana page. Please stop your disruptive edits by deleting major references and replace it with Instagram links as a reliable reference, as you did on [1], [2], [3], [4] and more on article page history. See Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons guidelines before started adding Instagram links as your main source of references. If You continue doing this, I will have to escalate with admins' noticeboard. Thanks.--Canny Yeohmanly (talk) 08:21, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you really have time to keep reverting my edits and report me, why don't you try to find more reliable sources instead? You said Instagram links bother you, but I'm sure you know and notice how messy the references, not to mention the article itself. The whole thing is just a mess. I'm just trying to improve the article, not vandalise it like you think. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 10:35, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The whole thing is just a mess??? the way you're pushing everyone to be agree to use Instagram links and your own personal thoughts as a source is clearly messed up the article, please read Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons guidelines before adding your missleading informations based on your own perspective and thoughts, you should rely on major references such as a news and government websites. And again you said that, "You're just trying to improve the article, not vandalise it" is such an excuse and not reflected the same way as you did on the page, reverting every users edit and publish back your last edit on this page is totally unacceptable and disruptive removal, this platform is not your own blog that rely on your own thoughts. This page is already published and reviewed by administrator, if you clearly check the references below there is a lot of major (reliable) references such as Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle, Antara (news agency), The Sydney Morning Herald, Republika, UNICEF Voices of Youth, The Cairns Post, Suara (newspaper).--Canny Yeohmanly (talk) 11:48, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The references are messy and excessive. The article has too many grammar, spelling, and punctuation mistakes. I don't know why adding more references (and at some point become too much) makes an article seems more reliable. Just trying to improve the article, not vandalise it. Plus it's not like I'm erasing everything and don't add reliable references. See how other beauty Queen's article works, such as Celeste Cortesi. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 13:11, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@HiChrisBoyleHere: I know you are not Indonesian (Maybe Filipino), That is why you cannot even read major Bahasa Indonesian references, if You wanted to fix the grammar it can be done without removing the context of the topic and the whole references. If you want to work together with the fellow Wikipedians, adding Instagram links as your main source of references is not align with Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons, so stop behaving like that. I can reduce the exessive references but you do not remove it all, then you can fix the grammar error, We should work together hand in hand. I'm hoping for your co-operation.--Canny Yeohmanly (talk) 13:24, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Canny Yeohmanly: Justru karena aku orang Indonesia, aku rasa referencesnya berantakan. Gimana kalau kamu yang tambahkan referencesnya instead of me who fix all the grammar errors? HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 13:41, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@HiChrisBoyleHere: Ak g prcy lu wong Indonesia, indonesia dmn lu? ora usah ngadi-ngadi deh, lo org ngra atas pulau Sulawesi toh, aku ki wes suwe bc artikel2 e dol. lapo kok mbuk hapos2, nek meh benerin grammar benerno gpp, nek referensi kbnykn tak cb kurangi deh. mhon krjasama, bls cb pk indo kl elu emang org sni.--Canny Yeohmanly (talk) 13:49, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Canny Yeohmanly: Gue Indonesia, ga percaya amat. 1) Gue ga hapus semua isi artikelnya, gue mempersingkat biar efektif. 2) Referencesnya kebanyakan, ga efisien. Jelek bgt jdnya. 5) Aku orang Indo, bukan orang atas Sulawesi. Jadi disini aku pure bukan mau merusak artikel Laksmi, tapi memperbaiki.

Sekian dan terima kasih. HiChrisBoyleHere (talk) 13:58, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The national newspaper The Weekend Australian reported yesterday that the subject of this article was born in Melbourne, Australia. The article is here (behind a paywall). As the subject has an Australian mother, and as the report, including its claim as to the subject's birthplace, is based in part on an interview with the subject, it is much more likely to be correct than the sources that claim, without having interviewed the subject, that she was born in Ubud (where The Weekend Australian says she was raised). Additionally, the claim that her grandfather was a "business tycoon" is not supported by the sources - "businessman" would be a more appropriate description. Per your description, seems like a good source. Personally, I don't know the Indonesian Washington Post from the Indonesian Daily Mail. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 08:07, 5 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Right. This article had a WP:LEADIMAGE, any good reason why it was removed? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 12:55, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Image captions

[edit]

Captions on the images and gallery images need trimming down per MOS:CAPSUCCINCT, likewise many are overlinked perMOS:OVERLINK and MOS:LINKONCE. One is a MOS:SEAOFBLUE. Would anyone prefer to have a go at de-linking and editing before I do? Sciencefish (talk) 15:11, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

2022 G20 Ambassadors

[edit]

In the translation of the references[1][2], there is no mention of ambassador roles, only that Suardana and associated winners were there to promote the Indonesian G20 presidency. There is only the mention that they were going to do it. This would appear to be MOS:PUFFERY unless a reference is provide that details what they actually did.
