[edit]

Lauretta Bender did cruel experiments on children, especially children she believed no one would miss- or the social and economic status of the family did not allow an effective defense- this was especially true of children with an African American background. No one knows how many children died under these treatments - despite many problems, she was allowed to continue her cruelty for far too many years. But there are survivors and they indict L. Bender and her inhumane treatments. She is certainly not a person who has earned any honors. If there was any justice towards African-American citizens, she should have spent her twilight years in prison!

Where grew up

lsd-25 ?

[edit]

where in the last paragraph does it say anything about her using lsd-25 on any of the children? it essentially repeats the early ECT mentioning. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.55.165.81 (talk) 06:50, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

RESPONSE: — Preceding unsigned comment added by Unitacx (talkcontribs) 04:25, 14 August 2012 (UTC) Will attempt to include citations, as there are several professional papers by Bender describing this. This section includes subject matter specific to Lauretta Bender's experiments and as such is not relevant to the use of LSD except as part of the early history of medical experimentation.[reply]

There may be incentive to remove this to "sanitize" Lauretta Bender's participation of these experiments, but that is not the purpose of Wikipedia.

Section on children and ECT

[edit]

I think the section on her use of ECT on children needs a rewrite due to opinionated language. The content of the section may be true, but it needs to be written from a neutral point of view, not like an editorial. If I have time, I may rewrite it myself, but anyone else is welcome to. 24.235.148.197 (talk) 06:35, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
