Painful Phrase[edit]

"A majority of the residents left"... in a land dispute between the Catholic Church and the Potawatomi, the only "residents" who left were Patawatomi, as evidenced by the phrase above "the Indian villages from Hartford, Rush Lake, Dowagiac, Niles, Buchanan in Michigan and South Bend in Indiana".

Why not tell the truth and say "A majority of the Potawatomi left"? True, they were Patowatomi and Catholic, but the way it is written is a very weak attempt to sugar coat the actual event. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 160.7.233.199 (talk) 04:51, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
