Fair use rationale for Image:Kiffany (Dead Like Me).jpg[edit]

Image:Kiffany (Dead Like Me).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The articles of George Lass, Rube John Sofer, and Daisy Adair violate WP:NOT#PLOT, WP:RS, WP:WAF, possibly WP:OR, and seemingly WP:NOTABILITY (or WP:FICT, take your pick). Is someone opposed to merging them here? Please note that the only valid opposition is if you reasonably improve these articles to meet the policies and guidelines they currently violate. – sgeureka tc 09:34, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No opposition to merging, so merged. – sgeureka tc 12:33, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Death of Daisy Adair[edit]

The article section for Daisy currently reads:

"Daisy Adair (Laura Harris) died by asphyxiation and smoke inhalation in Marietta, Georgia on December 13, 1938, although she repeatedly claims to have died in a fire on the set of Gone with the Wind."

The other characters' scepticism about Daisy's claims is a central theme of the show. Would it not be worth mentioning the old man who shows up early in the final episode, 'Haunted', and remembers Daisy from his youth? I suppose it could be classed as a spoiler of sorts, but since the main DLM article already explains what happens to Ray, I assume we're not too much concerned with spoilers. I'll add this unless anyone wants to object? - Laterensis (talk) 18:15, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rube reaping Betty[edit]

In the section for Rube, it reads, "Though George states that Rube died in 1927, this does not line up with his reaping of Betty in 1926." This implies that Rube reaped Betty. But according to the show, when a reaper has reached the end of his tenure (which the reaper does not know), the last person reaped replaces the reaper who goes on to his final reward. Thus, Rube could not have reaped Betty as he would have moved on.

The section on Betty simply says that he was "present" when she died. It's been a while since I saw that episode: Did Rube reap Betty? If so, then the continuity error should be noted. If not, then the article on Rube should be edited to remove the implication that he did. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rrhain (talkcontribs) 01:57, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Since Betty became a reaper, I assume she took the place of an unseen other who had fulfilled their reap quota - just as George's reaper disappeared to be replaced by George. But Rube was presumably there to explain things to Betty as he and Betty were present to explain to George. - Laterensis (talk) 12:16, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've tried various ways of phrasing this, but they all seem fairly awkward to read. In the end I decided that that last sentence wasn't all that essential anyway - it's explained that she's part of the group anyway, so I've removed it. I've also taken the liberty of tidying up and rewording a little bit about Rube (the swamp story), and rephrasing a little bit on the Betty item. - Laterensis (talk) 12:26, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Rube didn't reap Betty, but he was present at both the point of her soul being taken, and her death - there is a conversation between Betty & Rube where she asks him something along the lines of "What happened to that man who grabbed my tush earlier on today?" Rube's somewhat cryptic (to an outsider) responses imply that this was the point her soul was taken, and also "that man" must have been the previous reaper. As the previous reaper disappears themselves at point of achieving quota it makes sense that another reaper needs to be present to pass on the details and explain what is happening - this is also seen during George's initiation when both Betty & Rube are present, but neither of them were George's reaper. a_man_alone (talk) 14:32, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

George Lass[edit]

It says that she used to have breakfast with her father at Der Waffle Haus, I think it was a different place. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.26.36.50 (talk) 05:30, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cameron Kane[edit]

Should Cameron Kane not have an entry here? I'll do it if there's agreement. Or somebody else can - I don't much mind. a_man_alone (talk) 14:21, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

One more character[edit]

You mentioned even so-called "unnamed person" but didn't mention the guy who reaped George 91.122.186.159 (talk) 23:22, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The guy who reaps George is (despite his piviotal role) barely onscreen, and never mentioned again after his thirty second conversation with George. I don't think he warrants a section - plus too little is known about him. a_man_alone (talk) 16:44, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rube mentioned him once. said he was a "pain in the ass." Herogamer (talk) 18:10, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Casey (Waffle House)[edit]

No mention of her? She appears in at least the same episodes as Angus Cook. She's waiting on customers, but doesn't seem to be a mere waitress.--Cyberman TM (talk) 21:11, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

DMV reaper[edit]

There was a reaper working at the DMV to whom Rube took George to get her new identity. He was in the blood parasite division(?) and claimed to have reaped Marilyn Monroe I think it was in one of the deleated scenes Herogamer (talk) 18:17, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
