List of IPL centuriesList of Indian Premier League centuries – The term "IPL" is ambiguous and can refer to many things, including some other sports leagues. See the IPL disambiguation page. jfd34 (talk) 07:34, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support Although it is the only cricket league which is called as IPL, and century is a term used only in cricket (as of my knowledge), I think it will be better to use Indian Premier League to avoid any confusion. ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 11:52, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Removed nowrap[edit]

I have removed the nowrap because it caused part of the table to be hidden. I increased the table width to 100% so that the text does not wrap if the screen is large enough, without causing any problem for smaller screens. Also I have made the images horizontal and moved them to a separate "Gallery" section. jfd34 (talk) 15:36, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No. column[edit]

Hi folks! I am opening a thread here to get a clear consensus on whether to have a "No." column or not. I personally believe that the lead already mentions the number of centuries, and due to the size of the table, this column is unnecessary. One alternative can be to replace it with the "Inn." column, but that would be a bad option. Also the table is listed in chronological order, and can be later sorted in the same manner using the "date" column. ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 14:47, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I also believe that the number column is just occupying extra space as this is a rather small list. TheSpecialUser TSU 15:06, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Said it before, will say it again, no need for this "No." col. The total number is handled in other places and the order in which they were scored is handled by sorting by date. The Rambling Man (talk) 16:16, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No issues for me. Vensatry (Ping me) 18:54, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that it is unnecessary, but personally I would move the player name earlier in the table: either the first or second column. I know that it is a table of centuries, but the name of the player is probably a more important statistic than the actual score. Harrias talk 19:25, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not a big deal for me. Zia Khan 20:04, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
@Harrias I tend to follow existing FLs here. Also the player column is already highlighted. However in case someone thinks that moving is a better choice, I will be happy to implement it. ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 10:02, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Vibhi that "No." column is not necessary. Certainly not at the expense of Inn. column. As far as moving player's names to first column then it is not a problem.--Vyom25 (talk) 10:19, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Gallery[edit]

Don't you guys think a McCullum pic is lacking in the gallery? extra999 (talk) 16:52, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah it is. I will add it tomorrow (preparing alt text takes time). :) ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 17:33, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Inconsistent table format[edit]

I was looking at the table format under the section Centuries. What I noticed was that column of the first 36 entries in the table have a format which is as follows:

{{sort|<a number>|<batsman score>}}

The next 10 entries just have the score in the first column. I suggest that we come up with a consistent format for the table.

Prose implies all cricket players are male[edit]

The prose in this article implies that all cricket players are male (as in "and his number of centuries is generally recorded in his career statistics"). Surely women also play cricket? — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 11:25, 6 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
