Rebane appears to be missing from the Knight's Cross list Jim Sweeney (talk) 16:54, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I added him but it appears to me that the unit wasn't a Waffen-SS unit at the time he received the KC. I understand that he later served in a Waffen-SS unit. MisterBee1966 (talk) 07:29, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I removed him again. Even his article indicates that he served with the Wehrmacht at the time he received the KC. MisterBee1966 (talk) 10:09, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just to be precise: Alfons Rebane received the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on Ritterkreuz 23 February 1944 as Major and commder of the estnisches Freiwilligen-Bataillon 658 in the 28. Jäger-Division, a Wehrmacht division. He received the 875th Oak Leaves on 9 May 1945 as Obersturmbannführer and commander of the SS-Grenadier-Regiment 46 (estnische Nr. 2) MisterBee1966 (talk) 16:45, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
