Awards

[edit]

I've removed about half of the listed "awards" and "rankings". If the only sources that mention the award are the website and blogs, it can't be included: the sources for the awards would not meet WP:V. Some of the rankings weren't rankings, either. If a website publishes a group of x photos, that doesn't mean the subjects of the photos are ranked from 1 to x, it just means there are x people in the group.—Kww(talk) 22:54, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

why the hellyou did that
Do you havean idea how many awards she had won?!? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.70.122.208 (talk) 12:08, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That's the point. We don't know how many awards she has won, because there aren't reliable sources for the awards. —C.Fred (talk) 17:40, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

J-14 Teen Icon Awards is a redirect to an article about a teen girl celebrity magazine that doesn't even mention the award on that page. As far as I can tell this is a poll of readers of the magazine and a popularity contest based on reader inputs. This award is not notable and serves only as an advertising vehicle for the magazine itself. We should stick with awards that have some level of notability, shown by having an article about the award or an article could be created if the award itself meets general notability guidelines. Only reference in article to support are from the magazine itself, a primary source. There is no "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject".

This is how the magazine itself describes the award. "....as voted on by our readers", "...accepting nominations from YOU", "...winners will be announced in the January issue...". Lovato has a significant number of real notable awards, this article doesn't need to fluff it out with this. Geraldo Perez (talk) 03:18, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
