Don't forget to add these

[edit]

Don't forget American Museum of Natural History#Fossil halls in New York. Normal Op (talk) 19:54, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Evolutionnumber9, for adding a dozen entries from the American Museum of Natural History. Normal Op (talk) 20:16, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What is the order of the initial list?

[edit]

Evolutionnumber9, is there an initial order that these entries are being put into? (I'm asking you since you're the one adding most of the new entries.) At first I thought it was:

  1. Taxon (alphabetically)
  2. Catalogue Number (with the original first, followed by copies if any)
  3. Exhibiting Institution (alphabetically)

but that doesn't seem to be it. Though that seems to be the predominant order, catalog number "BHI 3033" is not in that same order, making me think there's not a consistent order for all entries. Could you pick an order and then mention it with a hidden comment in the code? Put it just above the first table entry; that's where I see most "sort order" or "inclusion" comments in lists I've encountered in Wikipedia. If you do that, then I would feel more confident about correcting the occasional one I see out of order. Until then, I dare not touch the list. (See MOS:COMMENT for how to make a hidden comment.)
