Categorizing estimates[edit]

@Geysirhead and @Hedviberit: Could you please explain the rationale for categorizing estimates based on whether they were made by political scientists, historians, or research groups? I've never seen that sort of categorization on another list on Wikipedia and I'm not sure what value it has. voorts (talk/contributions) 14:56, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The categories are not my idea, but I guess they work as a form of additional information about the sources, for example by explaining that "Karta" is a research group (the term "Karta" doesn't tell us much and is quite enigmatic). That said, I'm not strongly against removing them, and the same information could be added in parenthesis inside the table. Hedviberit (talk) 18:58, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
