Sections?

[edit]

This is quite a long list! Might it be worth separating by active vs. inactive, by region, or another way? (I mean using sections here, not separate Wikipedia lists.) ---Another Believer (Talk) 02:30, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Breaking it up would prevent column sorting the whole list. --Bamyers99 (talk) 16:04, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sure. What about separating out "destroyed" lighthouses? I assume these are nonexistent and readers might actually prefer that they are not included with the existing structures. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:25, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

How about these two lighthouses? (both decomissioned)

Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse, (June 2019)
McGulpin Point Light (July 2018)

Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse began operation in 1889 and the adjacent Fog Signal Building was built in 1906. This lighthouse, which operated until 1957, would eventually replace McGulpin Point Light, which operated between 1869 and 1906, at its location in the far western end of the village limits, with the current address of 500 Headlands Road. https://www.michigan.org/property/old-mackinac-point-lighthouse, Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse .. https://www.emmetcounty.org/parks-recreation/mcgulpin-point-lighthouse/, MCGULPIN POINT LIGHTHOUSE & HISTORIC SITE

Both are in Mackinaw City, Michigan
