[edit]this is a well-known drug... shouldn't be hard to gather all of the info... --Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade 03:18, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
- Only one sentence here, but I removed 'primarily for sleeping and eating disorders' cause I am not too sure about that, think it is less sedating than other tricyclics so would be less likely to be used for sleep disturbance. Poss. use in eating disorders but I do not think 'primarily'. I think its only official indication at least in the UK is depressive disorders so that's what I've changed it to, if anyone has any other info then feel free to edit. Berry
This medication appears to be prescribed occasionally to patients presenting with PTSD because of the anxiety and depressive states normally associated with this illness. There are no indications or research on it's use for PTSD. It would be interesting to note if this medication did reduce and limit the presenting symptoms of this illness. As there appears less scope for side effects compared to other types of similar medication which would be prescribed. [User:Traumadoc/ Bennett]
