Suggest new line indicating Horace Silver tune

[edit]

MikeLempriere (talk) 17:18, 4 November 2020 (UTC)I would like to see the intro paragraph changed slightly. As Horace Silver also made famous a jazz tune of this same name, around the same time, it would be prudent to mention it up front. Simply stating something like "See disambiguation page for different tune of same name by Horace Silver" would make me happy. Thoughts anyone?[reply]

Well currently, we don't have an article about the Horace Silver composition. There is already a link to a disambiguation page, which mentions the Silver tune and links to Song for My Father on which it appeared. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 21:14, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

--MikeLempriere (talk) 23:24, 12 November 2020 (UTC): All true, but an unsuspecting Jazz fan might come to this page and be confused by seeing only mention of Ornettes piece. I'm well familiar with the Ornette piece, and I was surprised to learn of Horaces piece of the same name when I heard it on a radio show recently. I looked it up here and walked right into this trap, no mention of Horace. After reading everything I thought to look on the disambiguation page, ah there it is. But the page discusses a jazz piece of that name - which should include Horaces piece.[reply]
