De-stubbed[edit]

This article appears to be of an appropriate length for the subject matter under discussion. It is also appropriately categorized and wikified.

By nature, stubbing and tagging articles devalues them, giving them an aura of unreliability and making them seem less credible. As part of my personal campaign to free up articles that have been stubbed and tagged without cause, this article has been disenstubbified.

Photos from the Met[edit]

The Met has released all its photos of the two mantuas discussed in the text. I've been waiting over a decade to use them in this article. Also, I made a single image rather than a compound image for the lead, as the article preview feature and mobile apps previews don't pick up multiple images. - PKM (talk) 23:36, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Want to add content[edit]

There have been some excellent recent dress historical publications regarding women's work within the clothing trades during this period, and it would be great to highlight the histories and contributions of dressmakers to the rise of the mantua (and it's different forms!) in fashion. I would love to incorporate these into this excellent article, contributing to both the work of Wikiproject Fashion and Wikiproject Women's History listed above.
