Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because it is attempting to tell the origins of the miami nice jazz festival. The history of this festival as of yet is not that rich. I'm attempting to make it as neutral as possible. What would need to be changed to make it done as such. Thank you! Pericles89 (talk) 18:14, 1 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What needs to be done is wait until there is coverage in independent WP:reliable sources to establish WP:notability. noq (talk) 19:23, 1 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
i.e., rather than collating what the festival says about itself, use third party sources like http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/06/14/2849496/french-jazz-festival-adding-miami.html as the basis of information, and look at comparable articles on Wikipedia as a style guide.
