Revenue, etc. should be replaced with data from the 2017 annual report: https://investors.microfocus.com/media/1436/microfocus_ar17-180817.pdf viz: revenue (solely for pre-HPE-software-merge MF) was $1,380.7m

other data can be added to the sidebar, eg: revenue of combined company ~$4B ; 18,000 employees https://investors.microfocus.com/our-business/company-overview/

The subsidiary structure is now much more basic: there are 2 semi-autonomous business units - Micro Focus and SUSE. The rest (Novell, Borland, NetIQ, HPE Software, Serena, Attachmate, Gwava, etc.) have all been rebranded under "Micro Focus". (https://investors.microfocus.com/media/1436/microfocus_ar17-180817.pdf)

Acquisition of Cobalt-IT should probably be mentioned (maybe create a subheading called "Mergers & Acquisitions", since it's mainly what goes on ?) https://www.microfocus.com/about/press-room/article/2017/micro-focus-acquires-cobol-it/

IMHO @Scope creep: is the best editor to handle this request, if they have the time and are willing. Spintendo      09:00, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Spintendo I will take a look at it tommorrow. scope_creep (talk) 16:17, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Key financial information

[edit]

I am not sure why properly sourced information for operating income and for net income has been removed for this company. Likewise the names of the chairman and CEO: these are standard infobox parameters. If you look at any other NYSE Arca Major Market Index, FTSE 100 company or any other FTSE 250 company you will find disclosure of such information. I do not believe financial information or the names of key individuals is advertising. Dormskirk (talk) 21:57, 11 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In the absence of any objections I have restored the information. Dormskirk (talk) 23:45, 12 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Dormskirk, What is the purpose of it, because it is no use to the average reader. They were Infobox properties added more than 10 years ago. The general landscape has now changed. Finance information is used for one purpose, that is for investment. Do you own shares in the company, do you have Conflict of Interest? It is curious you have added this information, which I rejected above in the Edit Request, three weeks ago, detailed above, now its back in, three weeks later. The people are not notable, therefore they have no place on Wikipedia. scope_creep (talk) 00:07, 13 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I am really shocked at your suggestion that I might have shares in this company. Please look at any FTSE 100 Index company or any FTSE 250 Index company and you will see that I have been updating the financial information for all companies every year for the last 10 years. Please do not make accusations like this without checking your facts. For the record I do not. Dormskirk (talk) 00:12, 13 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
