Planning ahead: handling Jesse's gender

I am going to suggest that when we start writing this out with episodes being released that we assume Jesse is male to make it cleaner in using pronouns as to avoid constant use of "his/her" "he/she", etc. This should be a fact stated in a leading sentence on the story section. --MASEM (t) 00:40, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Minecraft: Story Mode

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Minecraft: Story Mode's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Awards section

Could anybody an Awards section for Minecraft: Story Mode? The reason why is because there maybe some awards that nominated the game including the upcoming Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2016. Consensus is to not use GameRankings unless it adds value atop or in the absence of Metacritic. has said, Reuben dies in episode 4. However, he is said to have a memorial, in which in episode 5, Jesse and his/her friends visit. That was why Reuben should be mentioned in that episode. The "Reuben" mentioned in episode 8 is the usher afraid of chickens from episode 1 of S1. Jesse finds some of his/her friends locked in a prison, along with the usher. If it is not important that the group was delayed, this sentence can simply be omitted, making the relevant chunk of the plot summary go like so (if my above suggestion is taken):

(Sentence in question omitted here. Note: This parenthetical note would not actually be in the article.) As an aside: Although it is very good to clarify things which are ambiguous, direct responses should be done with hidden text (see WP:HIDDEN for what hidden text is and how to make it) or on the relevant talk page (for Minecraft: Story Mode, that’s this talk page). If you want to change the text to be more clear, then by all means, go ahead! Just bear in mind that your changes will appear in the article, and that most readers will have no idea what the background is (e.g. the fact that “clarify” tags were in the article, what their “explain” fields were, etc.).

@Ckevinr: I have now implemented the changes suggested above, with two extra changes:

• In the bullet point entitled "Change 2 & 3", I realized I needed that some mention of the group being joined by Lukas, which I had forgotten to add (due to it being in the sentence I cut). Because of this, instead of simply removing the sentence, which would have made the piece come out like this:

• Back at the competition (which the group either wins or loses, depending on whether Jesse let their friends help them search for Reuben), the deal goes bad when Ivor, the man Petra sells the skull to, rips her off and flees. Following Ivor into an underground laboratory, they discover him making a Wither, an incredibly dangerous creature, but are unable to stop him.

• Instead, to include mention of Lukas joining the group, I modified he piece to look like this:

By the way, I did know about WP:spoilers, but I was not sure if that applied here.

I am somewhat confused about the fact that, in the Setting section, it says that Jesse sets out to "find The Order of the Stone (Gabriel, Ellegaard, Magnus, Soren, and Ivor)". However, according to the section The Order of the Stone (Episode 1), Ivor is no longer a member of the Order of the Stone, making it unclear if Jesse is searching for him, too (especially since Ivor seems to be fighting Jesse and their friends). This brings up two points:

1. As Ivor is no longer a member of the Order of the Stone, should he be removed from the Characters group of the Order of the Stone, or should he be kept there, because he was a member of the Order of the Stone and/or Jesse is looking for him (if Jesse is, in fact, looking for Ivor)?

Jesse and the rest of his gang knows that Ivor was a member and was inexplicably kicked out which was later revealed that Ivor left because he was disgusted by The Order of the Stone's lies that they win against the Ender Dragon. I agree that Ivor should stay in the Characters section. The change that I meant to be proposing concerning the Characters section was to move Ivor out of the Order of the Stone subgroup in the Characters section, perhaps to the place that he was on the page before this edit. This is the change that I will enact if there is no response.

Plot is too long

Plot length

I noticed a few sentences in the new additions that caught my eye: "If appropriate, larger narrative DLC may be split into its own article if it receives significant independent development and reception coverage, such as The Last of Us: Left Behind. Split articles should follow the main plot guideline of 700 words."; "Because the encyclopedia will be read by gamers and non-gamers alike, it is important not to clutter an article with a detailed description of how to play it or an excessive amount of non-encyclopedic trivia."

In my honest opinion, adding in-game quotes would clutter up the article with trivia, as non-MCSM gamers will not be able to understand the importance of said quotes. @IceKey8297: Considering that only a smidge of cast (predominantly in Season 1) is credited, I’d also support adding the Season 2 Cast, too (as I suggested at your talk page earlier). The only problem is, the page is right at the boundary of WP:PAGESIZE, as ferret had said months earlier, so it’s best that the cast list is shortened - so that only the main characters are mentioned. Work the cast in for important characters in the plot itself (I.e. "Jesse (Whoever and whoever)" the first time Jesse is mentioned). Full cast lists are discouraged in MOS:VG, see WP:VGSCOPE #11. As I've mentioned above, this is not a "cast list," per se. I did not intend to add a cast list of any resemblance to what I have here. I simply wanted to have every MAIN character available, on this talk page, for easy reference when someone improves the already-existing Characters section (and adds the characters to the plot itself). (By the way, the Blaze Rods and Ocelots are PEOPLE, and are in fact main characters.)
