What does this mean?

[edit]

I'm not sure if this is a typo, but what does it mean "is a follower of the a movement"? Is that a random "the" or is he following the "A" movement? What movement does he follow?Bali88 (talk) 04:18, 5 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

David Lewis RiceMurder of Goldmark family – Article is about a notorious murder of a family by a killer motivated by an urge to kill Jews and communists - he was mistaken, the Goldmark family was neither. But the murder continues to be notable because of the motivation. Killer is known only for the single crime and for the subsequent trials. Topic is back in the news cycle because of the antisemitic shootings in Pittsburgh, but while i=his name is mentioned, it's not the way the incident is referred to, with the exception of some anti-death penalty activists. In today's news The Atlantic calls it The murder of the Goldmark family in 1985. CNN doesn't even name the killer "Until now, the deadliest attack specifically targeting Jews happened in 1985 when a Seattle lawyer Charles Goldmark was bludgeoned and stabbed to death, along with his wife, Annie, and their two sons,...". Case has never really dropped out of the news, New York Times columnist 2012: Not long after the witch hunts of the 1950s, a good man in my home state of Washington was accused of being a Communist. Years later, his son’s family — Charles Goldmark, his wife and two kids — was slaughtered by a mentally deranged killer who believed the original libel and..." doesn't name the killer. This KCTS-TV homage to an anti-death penalty activist does "Godden argued against the death penalty for David Rice, who murdered the Goldmark family on Christmas Eve in 1986. This 1989 article in The Spokesman-Review is headlined Death Sentence Reversed In Goldmark Murders],. "Goldmark Murders" is a redirect and seems to have been a usage at teh time of the trials. But I do a fair number of murder articles (at AfD,) and it is now common to use "Murder of..." in cases of a murderer who committed a single murder.
