Diner
[edit]@Doncram: I reverted your edit. There are other sources which describe the restaurant as a diner. ---Another Believer (Talk) 03:23, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- The restaurant is not a diner as commonly defined, or as defined in Wikipedia. It is at best a "diner-ish restaurant" per term used by Michael Russell in Russell, Michael (2018-01-20). "15 (remaining) diners in Portland and beyond". The Oregonian. Archived from the original on 2020-11-09. Retrieved 2022-02-20. to describe numerous restaurants and dive bars that are not diners: not in a railcar, not open 24 hours, usually not self-described as diners.
- Discussion opened at Category talk:Diners; please discuss there.
- I wonder, is this going to be a problem which will require an RFC or dispute resolution? --Doncram (talk, contribs) 03:27, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- We should be discussing the appropriateness of describing a restaurant as a diner on an individual basis, per sourcing, not as a whole based on a single definition in a single source. Please start discussions on individual talk pages and get consensus before changing existing text, especially for Good articles. ---Another Believer (Talk) 03:35, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
