Calls not free

[edit]
It is a free 24 hour service

That rather implies that the calls are free, which they are not. Loganberry (Talk) 22:45, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NHS Direct phasing out in 3 years

[edit]

The NHS Direct is being phased out in 3 years as a result of NHS reforms. The new number is "111" and is being trailed in the North of England now. ZellDenver (talk) 18:05, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just tried the 0845 number in West London, and was told by a recording to switch to the 111 number. It would seem that the three-year period is nearly at an end and the 0845 number is almost completely deprecated. 82.69.29.161 (talk) 11:55, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The final 0845 46 47 areas in England swapped to 111 in February 2014. The 0845 46 47 number will remain in use in Wales until 2015. The 0845 424 24 24 service in Scotland will move to 111 by mid-2014. -- 212.250.169.18 (talk) 15:15, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
