Reliable Sources[edit]

Not to offend anybody, but I removed some parts, mostly regarding her retirement. We've not heard Matsueda-san for several years, but that doesn't mean we cay say she retired, and while I might be more familiar with some of Japanese websites/Japanese magazines than average, I've never heard that Matsueda-san ever revealed to the public that she suffered from sleeplessness and losing weights. Also, The reception of her last soundtracks was negative, but still it's not appropriate to write she retired because of it unless she said so. It's rare that she made an appearance in the media, the last one I'm aware of is on the Japan-only video game guide book, Final Fantasy X-2 Ultimania published by DegiCube and Square Enix later. We need to write a biography with information on where it's cited, and when we refer to some website, we make it sure what's their source is. Again, I'm not saying some website make an assumption and spread it as fact - we just need to write a biography more carefully, especially when it's so an important affair as an artist's retirement.

Actually, you're right. The information is taken from Square Enix Music Online, which isn't the most reliable source there is. Until it can be proven by a reliable source, it should be removed. It is certain, however, that she left Square Enix, as she isn't on their official website, but when is not known. I will rewrite those parts to reflect this. By the way, she did say she suffered from sleeplessness in this interview. The Prince (talk) 13:31, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I stand corrected about sleeplessness and whatnot. I'm glad we're basically in agreement, and it's welcomed anybody rewrites/expands this page as far as it's from a reliable source. Information from Square Enix Music Online is fine of course if it's from the interviews they host, not their biographies.
