Severe NPOV problems with this article/deletion

[edit]

The entirety of this article was quite literally started and written by one person (its gonna be awesome) and their puppets, with the obvious intent of expressing their personal political beliefs, which from just reading one can tell is a Southerner who is anti-KMT. Their lack of peculiar grammar usage also persists throughout. Rather than be an impartial article about a specific thing this reads like an argumentative essay. (WP:FORUM) Because of the systematic flaws with this article that could probably only be resolved with completely rewriting it, I suggest deleting it in the meantime until a better version can be written. In contrast, look at the Chinese version of this article, which is much more well composed. Chokoladesu (talk) 10:28, 27 June 2021 (UTC) 16:14, 26 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Agree--Wolfch (talk) 19:06, 26 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Haven't checked for personal beliefs, but I have gone through the edit history and there are zero contributions that are not minor/copywriting not from the user or socks (and an SPA IP who is probably a sock), bar users removing content for various reasons. The most substantial third-party addition is this one, which adds sources but didn't affect prose. CMD (talk) 02:06, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
On Wikipedia, it's not who wrote matters, but what whom wrote matters. So instead of saying who wrote something blah blah, please point out what is not neutral. Taiwanese will not repress Taiwanese (talk) 12:10, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If the edit is from the sockpuppet of banned user, who wrote the matters--Wolfch (talk) 14:07, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting to remove {{NPOV}}

Section created by sockpuppet of the banned user It's gonna be awesome (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 16:49, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The following discussion has been closed. Please do not modify it.

The editor who adds the tag should discuss concerns on the talk page, pointing to specific issues that are actionable within the content policies. In the absence of such a discussion, or where it remains unclear what the NPOV violation is, the tag may be removed by any editor.

Neither Wolfch's "agree" nor Chokoladesu's accusation of "anti-KMT" is a valid reason to use such template. Taiwanese will not repress Taiwanese (talk) 12:17, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove {{NPOV}} on top of the article. Taiwanese will not repress Taiwanese (talk) 12:20, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit semi-protected}} template. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 12:23, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"the long-term blatant racial discrimination by KMT government against the aboriginal inhabitants who lived in Taiwan before 1949, policies imposed after 1949 that devalued aboriginals' life and achievements, the deprecation of aboriginals by the 1949 migrant population" Among other things, the fact that you refer to the pre-1949 Han populations as aboriginal (even though they are absolutely not) and characterize the government oppression as "blatant racial discrimination" (they're the same race) is projecting your obvious pseudoscientific/historic "blood nationalist" racial ideology. WP:FRINGE is absolutely not tolerated. Chokoladesu (talk) 05:27, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

OVERCITE

[edit]

There is some serious overcite/refbombing going on in this article. For example, a sentence in the lede reads "The gap between northern parts of Taiwan and the southern part of Taiwan in education, income, economy, culture, medicine and other areas is on account of the KMT party's North-South bias policy.[7][18][5]:85–86[6][1][19]:257[20][21][22][23][24][25][26]". COuld the editors adding so many sources please read WP:OVERCITE? Thanks. --- Possibly 08:33, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. However I think the editer will say "The WP:OVERCITE is not Wikipedia's policies or guidelines"--Wolfch (talk) 09:27, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I see now that this page has been the target of some sockpuppets! Someone needs to find a better hobby. --- Possibly 18:09, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The OVERCITE issue is fixed.--Wolfch (talk) 04:35, 8 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
