"Deported" is misleading

[edit]

Implies that it was some kind of Human Rights violation. He wasn't an Israeli or Palestinian citizen, he was there on a tourist visa. Just saying he was "deported" without further clarification seems like a bit of a smear. Possible compromise: a subsection, "Deportation of Mubarak Awad", giving the details as outlined by a reliable source (TIME magazine)? 46.38.161.41 (talk) 12:33, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The source you have added states in its second sentence "the Israeli decision to deport Awad made the Palestinian American something of a media celebrity, with the Reagan Administration firmly in his corner". Please stop edit-warring to remove this well-sourced statement. RolandR (talk) 12:39, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That statement was never there??? You know, it wouldn't kill you to be a little more civil/polite. So, what say you about my proposal? 46.38.161.41 (talk) 12:52, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The previous source, which you replaced, stated "In June 1988, a few months after the outbreak of the first Palestinian Uprising (Intifada), Mubarak Awad was arrested and deported by the Israeli government.". Reliable sources state that Israel deported Awad from his homeland; we should reflect this. RolandR (talk) 13:23, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Am a talking to an actual human being here!? I understand your perspective, I think I've shown that, do you understand mine? 46.38.161.251 (talk) 13:37, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, RolandR is a human being. He is also an experienced editor who understands the mandatory policies of Wikipedia. I have updated the article to accurately reflect the reliable sources cited. Sean.hoyland - talk 17:53, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

PCSN

[edit]

I guess it could be a good idea to expand more about subject of the article, i.e. PCSN. It was a research institute was not it? What was its goal or area of research? Any other notable researchers except Mubarak Awad? I guess the founder is notable, so we might have a section of him, with {{Main}} reference for the main article.
