Did someone make this up?[edit]

This whole article read like a collection of seemingly unrelated facts that someone tried very hard to tie into this vague "Pan-Caucasianism" idea, which is not clear what it even is. Gamsakhurdia wanted regional alliance, so that means he wanted a unified state? Regional cooperation means all countries should be unified? Transcaucasian Democratic Federative Republic exist less than two months and it seems mostly for practical reasons, but it is used as evidence for Pan-Caucasianism. Not clear if those people even knew what Pan-Caucasianism is. Russian version of this article is recommended for deletion, so I would do same here. I did more search and apparently "Pan-Caucasianism" is also some kind of white supremacist solidary concept, unrelated to Caucasus. One more indication that people who write this don't know what it is they write.--LeontinaVarlamonva (talk) 01:47, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:AGF before making such comments that "people who write this don't know what it is they write", first of all. Secondly, there are several cited sources which mention Pan-Caucasianism directly by name, so this is hardly a "collection of seemingly unrelated facts", as you claim.

There is no evidence that Kingdom of Georgia, TDFR, or TSFSR are part of "Pan-Caucasian" ideology or project just because they happened to unite Caucasus territory. Modern concept is being stretched to applied to different eras which is very questionable and is where original research comes in.--LeontinaVarlamonva (talk) 20:43, 7 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Again someone remove the tag but references did not clear up everything. Kingdom of Georgia was not part of pan-Caucasian ideology, which is modern development, not medeival. Also, source cited by Lakoba mention pan-Caucasian only once, only saying it "coincided" with one of the local states. "Coincide" is not same as being part of some knid of pan-Caucasian project. Where, for example, in reliable source does it say that Kingdom of Georgia was pan-Caucasian project? The only citation I see is Stephen Rapp and there he uses "pan-Caucasian" in strictly territorial sense. Kingdom of Georgia was not about cooperation or integration with neighbors, as in this 20th century ideology - it was just a kingdom that happen to cover all Caucasus. It is not correct to stretch modern ideology to apply to middle ages retroactively.--LeontinaVarlamonva (talk) 00:46, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editing[edit]

@Silveresc and @LeontinaVarlamonva, please both stop your disruptive editing such as removing sources without justification besides the name being distasteful to you, removing content which is cited in the body, or marking the page as OR or PROD when numerous sources are used within the article that refer to Pan-Caucasianism by name. If this continues, I will be left with no choice but to bring the matter up at WP:ANB due to the level of disruption.
