Usage in fiction

[edit]

In Marvel Comics, the Canadian super hero team Alpha Flight temporarily used the Parliament Building's basement as a base of operations. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.255.118.242 (talk) 17:40, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Possible construction

[edit]

When I personally visited this building in April 2018, I remember the front area had been walled off. I think it was a courtyard or fountain renovation. Would this be significant enough to add to the article (or would this also be original research)? 96.230.51.194 (talk) 23:33, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • ... that the first usage of Je me souviens, the official motto of Quebec, occurred on a wall of the province's Parliament Building (as pictured)? Source: "In 1883, Taché carved the phrase, Je me souviens, below it, which is considered the first time the phrase was used as a motto." [1] (in French); [2]
  • Comment: This is my first DYK nomination. Also, requesting that the article be placed as close to July 1 as possible (Canada Day), but I won't be upset if it doesn't appear on July 1.

5x expanded by Szmenderowiecki (talk). Self-nominated at 10:49, 7 June 2021 (UTC).[reply]

  • Date, expansion (excluding the bullets that don't count under DYK rules) and hook all OK (thanks for providing an English source). QPQ is not needed as this is the nominator's first nomination. No close paraphrasing. Picture licence fine, good to go for Canada Day. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 05:43, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
