  • ... that the first usage of Je me souviens, the official motto of Quebec, occurred on a wall of the province's Parliament Building (as pictured)? Source: "In 1883, Taché carved the phrase, Je me souviens, below it, which is considered the first time the phrase was used as a motto." [1] (in French); [2]
  • Comment: This is my first DYK nomination. Also, requesting that the article be placed as close to July 1 as possible (Canada Day), but I won't be upset if it doesn't appear on July 1.
