Order of Battle

I have a doubt regarding the 9th Armored Brigade. As far as I know, this used to be deployed at Lima until transferred to Tumbes during or inmediately after the 1995 Cenepa War. Where is it know? The EP page on the North Military Region does not mention it, neither does the one on the Center Military Region (which lacks details on its subordinated units). Rocket Launchers

Evogol has just added

• 12 BM-27 220 mm multiple rocket launcher
• 10 BM-30 300 mm multiple rocket launcher

I guess the source for this info is Tecnologia Militar, N°1/2006, but I'm not quite sure on its accuracy. As I haven't seen the publication myself, I have to ask whether there it has pics of this systems in Peruvian Army Service. If not, it might be just unconfirmed rumors, much like the widespread references to Peruvian Army T-72s which are clearly false. --Victor12 14:20, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Ok, but I'm not sure if this info is actually reliable. There are absoltulely no images of either of this rocket systems (BM-27 or BM-30) in Peruvian Army service. Does the article mentioned when where this systems acquired? All of the equipment acquired during the Fujimori regime has been made public either in military parades or in the course of investigations on corruption cases. Thus it's quite unlikely that they were bought at that time. On the other hand if they have been bought after 2000, it's quite unlikely that such a contract would have gone unnoticed. After all, BM-30 (9K58 Smerch) is a very expesive system. Check this link for instance: [1] Now you surely remember how hard was it to find $15 million for the two second-hand Lupos acquired last year. How did they found the money to buy this very expensive rocket launchers and still managed to keep it a secret??? --Victor12 00:08, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Graphic of the Army Structure

I'm currently working on a project to create graphics of the structure of the most important Armies. i.e. France. I want to make also a graphic of the structure of the Peruvian Army, but the information at this point is not sufficient, as there is no information what units compose the single brigades. Does anyone have this information? Thanks noclador

I added today a provisional graphic of the Army of Peru structure. However there is no information available to me regarding the units of the Brigades (with the notably exception of the 113th Service Brigade; good work on your homepage 113th Brigade- thanks :-) If someone knows more about these units please update the article and I will quickly update the graphic. About the T80 and PT91 in the Peruvian Army

I'll remove both tanks from the inventory of the Peruvian Army because that sources are WRONG, mostly based on rumors, there is no intention of acquire T-80s, the PT-91 is ON EVALUATION, I was present on its presentation on the SITDEF Peru 2009, even I was able to enter inside the tank. The T-80 is totally out of question, because its expensive power plant and lack of support. Greetings.--Cloudaoc (talk) 20:20, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Image edits

Placing a section here to discuss the images in the article so we can avoid edit warring. The images that were originally incorporated into the article are of the basic weapons that are issued to the army. Images showing further modifications to the weapon should not be used in this article since we cannot guarantee whether the majority of troops use these or if the modifications even exist within the army.----ZiaLater (talk) 16:47, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
