About the BAP Almirante Grau
[edit]Well Evogol, you are right: The CLM-81 can be the flagship of the Peruvian navy not only for the next 10 years, in fact the ship hull and superstructures are in good shape, and with a second upgrade and refit the ship could be in service at least 15-20 years more.
The problem is the budget, the ship is too expensive to maintain, her steam turbines consume at least 3 times the diesel used for a Lupo frigate, and without a refit (in fact the ship needs replace her old steam turbines with a modern propulsion system, this is technically possible but is too expensive) the ship soon will become not operational. The date of decommission is not and invention, is the approximated date of her retirement due the actual circumstances.
If you want more info about the CLM-81, please visit this site: Perudefensa.com (in Spanish). Greetings. Cloudaoc (talk) 16:10, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Cloudaoc... sorry for taking so long to reply but I've been busy lately... about the 81, I just can tell you that is fully operational... check this link [1] and feel proud of "us". Thanx for your interest about Peruvian Navy, see you around! :D -- Evogol 05:00, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

BAP Montero (FM-53)
[edit]In your edit to BAP Montero (FM-53) of 05:06, 20 December 2007, you added: "In late 2007 her flight deck was extended to allow ASH-3D Sea King helicopters to land and refuel, even though they can't be housed in the ship's hangar." What was the source for this?
The reason for asking is that I am gradually updating and adding sources to List of Peruvian Navy ships. The extension to Montero is not mentioned in the 2008-2009 Janes Fighting Ships.--Toddy1 (talk) 11:00, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
- I just saw it! ;) in SIMA dockyard, I'll try to find a picture for you -- Evogol 02:35, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The file File:MONTERO176.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 29 November 2019 (UTC)
