Full name is Peter Regin Jensen[edit]

But it is quite common in Denmark to go by your middle name, especially when the middle name is more unusual than the last name. In Denmark there are a lot of people with the last name Jensen so it can be practical to be known by your middle name. One famous example of this is the footballer Preben Elkjær, but there are a lot of other examples as well. AEJ (talk) 09:28, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I see his father's name is Regin Jensen. Is that the tradition, use the full name of the father as a double surname? Alaney2k (talk) 16:30, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That would be a first, in fact I wonder if the article simply omitted the father's first name for some reason. The thing is there is no set rule, everyone is more or less free to use either the middle name and completely ignore the last name; use the last name and completely ignore the middle name; or consistently use both middle and last name. Maybe the last option is the one used by his father. It's a bit of a mess really. :-) AEJ (talk) 09:35, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
