It appears that this article is assembled from bits and pieces copied from various sources. I've found material from http://www.ddindia.gov.in/About+DD/CPC and http://yraman.wordpress.com/2008/07/25/dd-podhigai/ and I suspect that there's more material copied from other places. It is unclear which parts of this article are copied and which aren't so I have applied the copyvio template across the entire article. -- Whpq (talk) 13:31, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Upon further investigation, all of the edits by user:123.236.90.57 are problematic. They consist of the copyvios noted above, POV, and promotional additions. All of the contributions are problematic, and so the entirety of the contributions have been reverted. -- Whpq (talk) 13:40, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

False claims, lack of sources

[edit]

The article claimed that DD Podhigai was Doordarshan's flagship channel and the most widely available terrestrial TV channel in India. I doubt that. According to Doordarshan's website, it's the Tamil language regional channel - I'd expect the flagship to be in Hindi. Our sources are either broken links or they don't mention Podhigai TV at all. I'll cut the article down to a stub for now. Huon (talk) 10:34, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

True, it is a Tamil language channel. But, Doordarshan is such that it has a flagship channel in every state and every major language. It need not be in Hindi alone. The word has to be qualified such that 'Podhigai TV is the flagship Tamil channel'. Guckoo (talk) 03:16, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like a source for that claim. Isn't DD National the flagship channel? My impression was that someone just copied that line from the DD National article without reflection. Huon (talk) 11:14, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
