Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Prevalence of tobacco consumption. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. If there are 120 million smokers in India, how can the rate possibly only be 11%??♦ Dr. Blofeld 15:05, 3 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there! I recently reviewed this article and am interested in developing it for my semester project. I intend on updating the data with more information from the past five years, giving specific examples of the gender gap differences across countries, and expanding on the differences in prevalence rate of smoking in the mentioned populations. I hope to write more about the trends of tobacco smoking in countries in East Asia and Southeast Asia. Furthermore, I intend to add links to country-specific articles related to smoking.

My plan and sources I plan on drawing from are written on my user page. Please feel free to check it out, and let me know what you think about my ideas. I would appreciate suggestions or advice! Jk956 (talk) 02:56, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

United States

In the Countries section, the World Health Organization link gives a percentage of 23 in 2020, but the National Center for Health Statistics gives an 11.2 (which, as I understand it, includes vapes) for 2022. How come there's a huge difference between the two numbers? Aquatic Ambiance (talk) 08:06, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
