Re the rapid increase in foreign prostitutes[edit]

Re EepEep's edit; I think this material ought to stay. Its well cited and well written. I agree with EepEep's sentiment that it seems mostly relevent to prostituion in Europe rather than just Denmark, but I don't think the article as it stands is overcrowed and I think the material is relavent. Don't feel too strongly about this though. NickCT (talk) 05:45, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ah there it is. I agree it's well written and would be quite appropriate to add to Prostitution in Europe. But it doesn't seem to be about Denmark at all. EeepEeep (talk) 05:49, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't it basicly just saying that Denmark is embroiled in the same prostitution wave that is hitting the rest of Europe? Seems noteworthy in relation to the subject.NickCT (talk) 06:00, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Without a cite saying specifically that, it would be original research. EeepEeep (talk) 06:07, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah ok fine. None of the cited material is specific to Denmark. Given that's the case, it's hard to support its inclusion. NickCT (talk) 06:33, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

General status[edit]

Agree poor article. I have no idea why people think the US State Department is a reliable source for information on sex work - it is highly ideological, but appears on virtually every prostitution page in Wikipedia. Re above - suggest use actual TAMPEP report not news articles. Don't use terms like 'recent' they date rapidly. Articles need to be in past tense. I have looked primarily at more general copyediting matters (grammar, sentence structure etc), however, the article needs to be reviewed by an expert (maybe the Wikipedia Sex Worker Taskforce) to cover issues such as appropriate terminology ("prostitute" vs "sex worker", validity of the term, "pimp", etc etc). and the appropriateness of discussing sex worker activism in the article. --Soulparadox 11:15, 24 April 2012 (UTC)

"The Nordic Model"[edit]

I keep on reading about "the nordic model" of prostitution, which is apparently what Sweden is, or is defined by Sweden, or something like that. I think it means "Illegal to Buy Services". But the article Nordic_model is completely unrelated. Somebody needs to make an article by that name to explain the concept. OsamaBinLogin (talk) 05:39, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
