Dark Eldar

[edit]

For the sake of completion, I added the Dark Eldar Crucible of Malediction to the anti-psyker arsenal page. If memory servers, the Orks had some weaponry that was psyker-specific as well, but I can't recall, and can't cite the source so I didn't include it.

What a surprise, ANOTHER 40K wiki article with an incredible Imperial bias. :)

Apex Level

[edit]

I have never heard of an Apex level Psyker - can anyone quote a source on this? Schoon 19:52, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've only heard it in reference to the apex twins, a pair of little girls that may be thousands of years old. There is more on them here: http://uk.games-workshop.com/witchhunters/villainy-infamy/3/ Irrumat0r 12:36, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the Apex Level since it is much more likely that the Apex Twins were simply two Alpha Plus-level Psykers. Until the "Apex Level" is used canonically it should not be on here.
If memory serves right, there is no such thing as the Apex level. The highest Psyker rank in W40k canon is just Alpha Plus. The Twins are just as the guy above said: a couple of malevolent, Alpha Plus-level girls who just happen to be trigger-happy. - Frostmourne 16 06:35, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Soul Binding

[edit]

I believe that the Astropath section should specifically reference Soul Binding with the Emperor, along with some other minor verbage revision (Black Ships capitalized, etc.) Schoon 19:52, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Primaris Psykers

[edit]

The term Primaris Psyker should be in the Imperial Guard section Schoon 19:52, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Astropaths

[edit]

I think, due to the size of the article and the content, that Astropaths should be merged into this article. -Localzuk (talk) 12:45, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like a good idea to me. --Pak21 13:05, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed³. Merge it! --The Enslaver 20:32, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Done. -Localzuk (talk) 10:22, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pskyer Levels

[edit]

I am curious as to the source of the Psyker Levels in this article. The lowest I can think of mentioned was a Delta.--Darth Fanboy 18:47, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I too have never heard user below Delta. Unsure on the source. --Falcorian (talk) 20:13, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sub-Delta level psykers are referenced in one of the Ravenor novels by Abnett Schoon 19:52, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There are ranks below Delta from the description as some Psykers possess the powers but do not have anywhere near the capability to do what a Delta can apparently do. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.102.83.34 (talk) 21:01, August 27, 2007 (UTC)

Renaming?

[edit]

In line with WP:FICTION, I'm thinking of renaming some sections of the article to approach the topic from an out-of-universe POV. For example, instead of "Psykers in the Imperial Guard", we'd have specific sections for "Sanctioned Psykers" (and maybe their past incarnations such as the Primaris Psykers, etc. Shrumster 06:42, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Necrons

[edit]

Added qualifier to the Necron entry touching on Commissar Cain's experiences; it had not been made clear (mainly to people who arent familiar with the works) that the books are written with a tightly characterised, idiosyncratic narrative style deliberately meant to convey the very limited point of view of the titular character. Any statements made in it pertaining to the 'truth' of something in the 40k universe are not to be taken as literal; more than once Cain has talked about a feature of his adventures that we as the omniscient reader know to be incorrect. Grey Knights

[edit]

Are you sure that they're considered a part of the Space Marines? I thought that they were from the Ordo Maleus (I may have spelled it wrong) of the Inquisition. I heard that people frequently associate them with the Space Marines because they very frequently fight alongside them, but they are not actually a part of the Space Marines. Wakata

They are a Space Marine chapter in their own right, but have very close ties to the Ordo Malleus. They are considered the Chamber Militant of the Malleus but the Malleus can only request their aid, not command it. ABurness (talk) 13:54, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, they're Astartes made from the geneseed of either the founding members of the inquisition (Nathaniel Garro, etc) or the Emperor himself. (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.89.161.169 (talk)
