Discussion on Shaukat Kashmiri[edit]

SPECIAL NOTE: This page is created to discuss Rawalakot and certainly must not be used to advertise interview of a political party's head. This is against Wikipedia's policy and considered as vandalism. So I have removed the contents of interview of Mr Shaukat Kashmiri by the author Jamil Maqsood. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Riztech (talkcontribs) 14:02, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pakistan Project[edit]

Notabbe person[edit]

I have edited and reverted some edits about notable persons. Notable person means someone who is known outside the area they belong to. No point to advertise here for those who are not known by anyone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Riztech (talkcontribs) 14:05, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As you say that the person be known outside the area, thus under your own criteria you have missed the whole issue. If you are from Rawalakot, than you would know that only some of the people from Rawalakot are known outside of Rawalakot. Thus when you stated that Ghulam Ahmad is not known in Rawalakot, I am not sure what that means. Anyway maybe we should delete the whole section of notable people as it has nothing to do with Rawalakot

EagleEye 04:28, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

There are three people left in that section, I would say these three should stay, first is Sardar Ibrahim Khan undoubtedly well known, second is President Hayat, his era of goverence is termed as golden in AJK history, and lastly Khalid Ibrahim, again a man without whom this section will be incomplete. By the way all three are sudhans, I am not a sudhan but I do recognise their notability. riz 10:46, 13 February 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Riztech (talkcontribs)

Khalid Ibrahim cannot even get elected to anything, he lost every single election, just because he had an article in Daily Times, which I may say is not a widely read paper does not make him anything. As far as Sardar Ibrahim, he was born and burried in Hurnamaira. So Sardar Ibrahim is clearly notable and my relative, he is not from Rawalakot. Only Hayat was from Rawalakot but lived and died in Pindi. Massod Khan the Pak Ambassador to China has more articles than Ibrahim and you removed him. Therefore this whole section should be removed. These people already have their sections.

Again, please put the facts right. Re Masood Khan: I checked last 500 edits and nowhere I removed him from notable persons. Infact I don't recall seeing him in that section. Other issue re both sardar from hurnamaira, please check the suburb part of this page, hurnamera is suburb of Rawalakot. riz 06:47, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

Who added subburbs to Rawalakot. I included Hunamera and Rehara and one more section Motialmara as surrounding areas. If you consider these as suburbs of Rawalakot, and consider that to be true than every town to the border is a suburb as it is only a few miles from the border. At least the people from Hurnamaira dont consider that to be true. Also there were a lot of people on notable persons including Masood Khan I will find it, because I put that on myself and since I did not got to Wikipedia for a some time lots of people were added and removed by people with personal issues. Which seems to run in this area. Also if you are really interested in editing maybe you can fix hurnamaira rehara and motialmara and by the way some redirected Paniola to Cowboy. You I spend a lot of time editing Rawalakot, so when I left for a bunch of months, the whole page has been changed and things removed, without any discusssion.

As far as Javed Ibrahim is concerned he is not President of AJK, his party did not win any seats so why is he a notable person. What about the person who beat him in the last election was that person not notable according to your criteria ? Your comment that you are not a Sudhan but respect nobility I am not sure what that means, the section refers to Notability not nobility, Nobility means being from a royal family, notability is differnet as you know. Each of th

Please look at the history of edit page. at Revision as of 05:39, August 29, 2009 (edit) (undo) on this date Sardar Masood Khan was on the list. And someone later removed him, that was really sad.

EagleEye (talk) 23:12, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know who added suburbs, I added "Rawalakot-Poonch bus service and trade route" section but I think this part does not qualify to be here if we take Rawalakot as a city. Bus service and trade route is open through Tatrinote, I can not decide on it (double minded), you have liberty to keep it or delete it. I have also checked previous edits of 2009, this part was full of people claiming to be notable.. I have started thinking to remove this section at all (as suggested by you), tomorrow someone else will make a fuss on it (as did we), please give me your thoughts.

BTW re Khalid Ibrahim, I do not consider MLA as notable, KI is different, he resigned from assembly, refused to drive car of benazir Bhutto on principles (though lost political career), others may disagree with me but I consider him notable because he inherited principles from his father and stick to those principles all of his life. He is not an opportunist politician. Anyhow I am second to your old idea of deleting this notable section, please do it if you think it is appropriate.

I will try to fix that redirect, don't know how to but will try to learn. riz 10:49, 16 February 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Riztech (talkcontribs)
