There's obviously some confusion here. The Red Perkins who recorded for Gennet was a black leader of a territory jazz band; the Red Perkins who recorded for Deluxe/King was a white country artist. The white western swing musicians who played in The Lightcrust Doughboys and Bill Boyd's bands likewise have no connection to the Red Perkins under discussion.

SOMEONE HAS CONFUSED THREE DIFFERENT PERFORMERS HERE. THE ARTICLE SHOULD BE ABOUT 1920S-30S BANDLEADER RED PERKINS. THE LATER COUNTRY SINGER RED PERKINS (B. 1920 IN KENTUCKY, BASED OUT OF DAYTON, OHIO) IS NOT CONNECTED. NOR IS EITHER MAN CONNECTED TO THE LIGHT CRUST DOUGHBOYS OR BILL BOYD. THE PERKINS WHO WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THESE WESTERN SWING GROUPS WAS ROBERT WILSON "LEFTY" PERKINS, A GUITARIST AND STEEL GUITARIST. ALMOST ALL OF THE NAMES LISTED ABOVE HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RED PERKINS THIS ARTICLE IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT. -- copying from page history BrillLyle (talk) 20:15, 20 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Also wrong:

Am going to try and set up a disambiguation page maybe? -- Erika aka BrillLyle (talk) 20:38, 20 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I did what I could here.... Hope it's okay -- Erika aka BrillLyle (talk) 22:55, 20 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
