Merge[edit]

One cultivar of a particular plant doesn't merit its own article, especially an unsourced one. If this can be sourced, it may be a more appropriate addition to Dark opal basil. --Drm310 (talk) 23:33, 12 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Basil Red[edit]

Alternative Name. One described as a hybrid was purchased locally (Norwood: Natural selections) and placed in a large pot. Flowered consistently over its three year life span but eventually succumbed to cold shock. When stressed, leaves in sections of the plant reverted to a red veined dark green.Lmstearn (talk) 06:24, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
