I'd like to suggest that this material be merged into other existing articles. It appears to focus entirely on the theories of Th. P. van Baaren. There are multiple approaches to understanding religion and religious behaviors. What we have here is too specific to serve as an overview to those approaches, and Wikipedia already has an article on Theories of religion. There are multiple articles on specific, more detailed ways to study and understand religion, such as Sociology of religion, Anthropology of religion and Psychology of religion.

It doesn't seem appropriate to have an article entitled "Religious behavior" that only discusses Mr. van Baaren's approach.

I would propose re-directing this article to the article on Religion (as it was until recently) and moving the material on van Baaren to a more appropriate home. EastTN (talk) 18:48, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're absolutely right. The thing is that my investigations, indeed based on Van Baaren - but he's not to blame for my conclusions-, have led me to believe that religion as a socio-cultural fenomenon can best be studied as behaviour first and foremost in the socio-cultural method I developed in recent years. This new approach seems very fertile but I am the only one to think so I'm afraid. JvanEmmeloord (talk) 19:06, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
