Instruments

[edit]
The manual stressed the importance to the driver of knowing engine speed rather than car velocity, but it is more likely that hardware limitations were responsible for the omission.

I'm not entirely convinced by that. Many racing cars do indeed lack speedometers (play Grand Prix Legends for a good example), and Crammond seems the sort of person for whom such authenticity would be important. REVS was more a sim than an arcade racer, after all. Loganberry (Talk) 13:11, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'd agree. I played a lot of REVs back then and it made perfect sense that you are watching your engine revs (excuse the pun) rather than actual speed. It was a Formula 3 simulator and they just don't have speedometers! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.194.13.41 (talkcontribs)

Second processor version

[edit]

I can find no evidence for the second processor version and stardot members have no recollection of it. It's had 'citation needed' for several years. I think it's an unsubstantiated claim, and needs a citation if it's to be mentioned. I removed the paragraph. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.125.34.247 (talk) 19:31, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Page move?

[edit]

There isn't anything at REVS - is there any reason this shouldn't go there instead? Loganberry (Talk) 01:00, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to leave it three more days - ie a calendar month since my above comment - and then, unless there are objections, make the move. Loganberry (Talk) 23:46, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No objections in five months, so I think I'm going to make the move now! Loganberry (Talk) 01:01, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well done you. Have a cookie. 2A00:23C4:4501:C401:85B5:2D9:9BF0:D6B6 (talk) 17:07, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
