Rocket Girls (band)Rocket Girls 101 - the Chinese name is 火箭少女101, which means Rocket Girls 101. I don't know how 101 could be left out. https://wx3.sinaimg.cn/crop.0.0.1420.800/8a533d85ly1fsmf6wqhzzj213i0m8h5c.jpg H2254625 –(talk) 07:01, 4 August 2018 (UTC) --Relisting.  — Amakuru (talk) 14:20, 11 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@H2254625: I am doing another round of searching on this. Other than their official YouTube, do you have any other sources? Heolkpop (talk) 17:35, 4 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Heolkpop:There is no official YouTube account, to my knowledge, they have not make any oversea account yet. But hey, if that is official, then it does say:
All Tencent Rocket Girl 101 related video copyrights and disputes sent to the address: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hd6V77dIb_8
They will soon release a new song in the 11th, probably a MV, and their debut conference is scheduled on 18th...But will an English name be mentioned, I don't know. Bottom line is, there is no reason to drop out 101 in their English name. -H2254625 (talk) 19:22, 4 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I just realize they are on billboard with the name Rocket Girls 101 : https://www.billboard.com/charts/china-v-chart/2018-08-04 -H2254625 (talk) 19:47, 4 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I looked around, and Global Times now called them "Rocket Girls 101" too. It also seems like both names are used interchangeable for English. Heolkpop (talk) 01:01, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
looks like bad translation to me...H2254625 (talk) 01:27, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
If only you think official mv and official channel is less official than other 3rd party sites -H2254625 (talk) 00:31, 12 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No, I don't care very much what is official, and neither does Wikipedia (which may be why the Chinese authorities don't like us very much). Andrewa (talk) 05:16, 12 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
They don't and haven't ever existed outside the context of that series, have they? Dekimasuよ! 01:34, 12 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Who are you responding to? for or against?-H2254625 (talk) 04:32, 12 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Just to clarify, Dekimasu, by if they've succeeded I mean if the show's promoters have succeeded in attaching their brand to the band's name in common English usage, not if the band have themselves succeeded. What I said was perhaps ambiguous, sorry. Andrewa (talk) 05:16, 12 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Meiqi/Xuanyi

[edit]

Hello,

I don't know if Xuanyi and Meiqi should be listed as past members yet? The agency representing Rocket Girls say that they are still in the group (with threatening legal action against Starship/Yuehwa)... while Yuehwa claims they withdrew, but the statements are so conflicting and confusing that I'm putting their status as "past members" in doubt.

What do you guys think?

Tibbydibby (talk) 23:38, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

wiki is not a news site, stop making changes until everything is settled.
Starship/Yuehwa just want some ransom from Tencent, the company which is really throwing money into the business. It is rumored that Meiqi was dragged out crying. -H2254625 (talk) 03:00, 14 August 2018 (UTC) H2254625 (talkcontribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic. [reply]

Offcial name and what so ever

[edit]

If someone read WP:OFFICIALNAMES properly, then he should not use a name with description in bracket (band). Using Rocket Girls (band) does not make the article more Wikipedia:Official_names#Rationale than the official name. This Girl group, not band formed just 2 month ago, how is there any Culture/Practicality/Theory reason showing that proves the show did not succeeded in attaching their brand to the girl group's name in common English usage? Presumption of guilt? --H2254625 (talk) 04:48, 27 August 2018 (UTC) H2254625 (talkcontribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic. [reply]

There are still promotional songs that have yet to be added to the wiki, Yang Chaoyue's 冲鸭冲鸭. Also, the official color for the members have yet to be added from the Chinese wiki counterpart. TheLoneRogueWolf (talk) 14:25, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. DannyS712 (talk) 18:06, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
