The tags {{Like resume}}, {{orphan}} and {{advert}} were added to the article, with the reason "Page does not describe about the person in a wiki way".

Neither of the reasons is valid:

  1. {{Like resume}} is meant for Wikipedia:Conflict of interest cases, and the guideline on the template page clearly says: "An article that merely summarizes the subject's career is okay, so long as it's written in a neutral tone and the subject meets the requirements for notability."
  2. {{advert}} is meant for Wikipedia:Spam cases. I'm in no way connected with Roshni Nadar or HCL, and this is not a promotional article. There is not a single sentence in the article that's not a fact, and that's not referenced.
  3. {{Orphan}} is unnecessary, since there are two incoming links. From Wikipedia:Orphan#Criteria: "it is recommended to only place the {{orphan}} tag if the article has ZERO incoming links from other articles. One or two incoming links may be sufficient as long as they're relevant."

The article's tone is completely neutral, and mentions facts about following topics, each of which is supported by at least one reliable source:

  • The subject's designation and work at HCL
  • Her education
  • Her personal life

It's not as if the article is trying to downplay any negatives about Roshni Nadar -- it's not my problem that she has not been involved in any controversies.

To me, the addition of tags seems to be either in bad faith or a failure to understand that tags like {{like resume}} or {{advert}} are not meant for short articles written in a neutral way. Wikipedia is a work in progress, and stubs with limited information are welcome when limited information about the subject is publicly available.

I've removed the tags, and if someone is going to add them back, please provide concrete reasons than something as vague as "does not describe the person in a wiki way". utcursch | talk 06:27, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That sentence was added by an anon; I don't see how it makes the article an advert or resume. A {{citation needed}} would have sufficed. utcursch | talk 16:47, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
