Is this original research?[edit]

This is a well-written and interesting article but I suspect it may contravene one of the main policies of wikipedia - that there should be no original research. The main premise of the article is in the lead where it says that: "Royal visits to Manchester and the surrounding areas in the nineteenth century ....offer an insight into the development of the area during this period. Moreover, Manchester’s response to such visits.... challenge the perceived political history of Victorian Manchester" Do any of the references actually support this premise? If they do it needs to be pointed out, but if they don't, and there is no reliable published source that says this, then I'm afraid the article constitutes original research and is liable to be deleted. To quote from WP:NOR, original research includes "unpublished analysis or synthesis of published material that serves to advance a position" Richerman (talk) 22:16, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
