Two things. First, I gave up on WP:MCQ years ago after never getting what I consider to be serious answers to serious questions, basically variations on "Of course it's under copyright, so quit being so silly". It's unclear to me whether this photo actually was a work of a U.S. Forest Service employee or merely part of a collection donated to the Alaska State Library by USFS. From what I've seen on Commons, others are taking liberties in uploading images which may not necessarily be out of copyright and there aren't enough warm bodies over there to be proactive about that sort of thing. Just thought I'd throw the link out in case anyone may know better about the photo than I do. Second, various books on early North Pole history, mostly self-published, mention that Con and Nellie Miller were genuine celebrities in Australia during the 1960s and 1970s. Apparently, they made multiple tours with their daughter, born roughly a decade after Mike and named Merry Christmas Miller, where they appeared on national television.
